What we collect, and why

• When you buy: your email address, your order and payment status, the amount and the currency. We use them to deliver the book, send you download links, handle refunds and keep the records that tax and accounting law require. Your card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
• When you request a new download link: your email address, plus a record of your IP address kept for a short time to stop abuse.
• When you request the free sampler (when available): your email address and, only if you tick the box, your consent to marketing emails, with the time and the wording you agreed to.
• Site analytics: page-view statistics from Vercel Web Analytics. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you.

We don’t sell your data and we don’t use advertising trackers.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie, only when you start a checkout. It lets the browser you paid in show the instant download button after payment, and it expires after one day. It isn’t used for tracking.

Services that process data for us

• Stripe: payments, receipts and refunds
• Supabase: order, download and subscriber records, and private file storage
• Resend: sending delivery and download-link emails
• Vercel: hosting and analytics

These companies may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards for international transfers.

Emails

Buying the book means you’ll get the emails needed to access it (your download link, and new links when you ask for them). We only send marketing emails if you opted in, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

• Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Download links: kept with your order; they stop working after they expire.
• Abuse-prevention records: deleted automatically after about two days.
• Sampler and marketing records: until you unsubscribe and ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except what we must keep by law), and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email hello@thecleverkitchen.store and we’ll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
